Mastering HIL Testing for Automotive & Embedded Systems

Mastering HIL Testing for Automotive & Embedded Systems

The Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Testing program at Cosmiclatte Learning Hub is the bridge between software-only testing and the real physical vehicle. While standard testing happens on a desk with just a head unit, HIL testing happens in a rack-mounted environment that tricks the ECU into thinking it’s driving down a real highway. This training is designed to turn you into a System Validation Engineer, capable of handling the high-stakes testing required by OEMs like Bosch, Continental, HARMAN and Mercedes Benz.

Outcomes
  • HIL Bench Proficiency: You will understand the end-to-end architecture of Hardware-in-the-Loop systems, including how to interact with real-time simulators like dSPACE and NI.
  • Vehicle Networking Expertise: You will be capable of analyzing and simulating CAN and UDS communication, allowing you to speak the "language of the car" during technical interviews.
  • Advanced Diagnostic Skills: You will be able to identify, capture, and analyze system-level logs to distinguish between software bugs and hardware communication failures.
  • Professional Certification: You will receive a Certificate of Completion, validating your specialized knowledge in Automotive Infotainment and HIL validation.
Requirements
  • A degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) or Diploma in branches such as Electronics & Communication (ECE), Electrical & Electronics (EEE), Computer Science (CSE), Mechanical, or Mechatronics.
  • Proficiency in using Windows/Linux operating systems, as you will be simulating tool environments like Putty, Teraterm, and ADB.
  • A basic understanding of Electronics (Voltage, Current, Signals) and a conceptual idea of how Operating Systems work.
  • Since this is a pre-recorded audio and visual session format, a stable connection is required to stream the high-definition tool walkthroughs and architectural diagrams.
  • A strong desire to build a career in the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) domain and a willingness to learn complex protocols like CAN and UDS.
  • A basic command of English, as the technical sessions and industry-standard documentation used in the training are in English.
